THE STORY BEHIND

In this creation, we narrate a story through the art of Zhuang brocade. Within Zhuang brocade lies a captivating motif—the "Four Swallows Pattern," depicting four swallows encircling flowers, symbolizing the joy of success. Yet, upon seeing swallows, one's thoughts often drift to the notion of migratory birds and the longing for home. The familiar children's rhyme comes to mind:​ "Little swallow, donning floral attire, returns here every spring." Aren't we all, in essence, migratory birds belonging to our loved ones? With this sentiment, we've reimagined the imagery of four reunited swallows, intertwining them with another traditional Zhuang brocade motif—the "Returning Pattern." This design is aptly named "Swallows Returning Through the Seasons," embodying the belief that no matter the time, reunions are never too late.
